Description
MoJo or Mobile Journalism is an exciting and intellectually stimulating competition that brings together talented student-journalists from various educational institutions to showcase their reporting and communication skills. This competition serves as a platform for students to express their creativity and journalistic prowess in a competitive and supportive environment. Students who participate are required to record a short video on reporting an interesting event that is happening around their campus.

How to Participate 1. Choose ONE campus event or campus-related happening based on one of the following themes:
- University Event
- Health (Physical/ Mental Health)
- Education
- Career
- Science/Technology
- Sports
- Campus Lifestyle
- Volunteerism/ Community Service
- Entertainment
2. Each university is encouraged to also include the university's niche area for this competition. For instance, UMPSA focuses on higher TVET education. Therefore, it is encouraged for the participants to showcase events highlighting UMPSA efforts in TVET education.
3. The video should report on ONE real event and it cannot be fictional. However, the students may reenact the event for the filming purposes.
4. The video length should be 2:00 - 3.00 minutes long. Marks will be deducted for not following the advised time frame.
5. At least one newscaster/group member must appear in the video to report on the event. Another member must be the journalist who covers the news on the site and interview subjects for the news coverage

7. All entries must be submitted by the stipulated end date and time. The deadline for the submission is Sunday, 18 August 2024, 11.59 p.m.
8. We encourage all trainers and participants to record and upload their practice sessions for promotional purposes. You may upload your practice video(s) on Youtube or TikTok followed by this hashtag #CountDownHEELCa24. Your practice video(s) may be featured in our HE ELCa 2024 website and other social media platforms.
Duration of the video 2:00 - 3:00 minutes
How to submit 1. Record the video and upload your news on YouTube and set to public. Please use these compulsory hashtags #MoJoHEELCa24#HEELCa2024.
2. The YouTube link must be submitted through the submission link together with the final script used for the video.
3. The winners will be announced during the HE ELCa 2024 Closing Ceremony.
Submission Deadline Tuesday, 22 October 2024. 11.59 p.m.
