Description Harmony Huddle, or otherwise known as Choral Speaking, is a dynamic form of oral expression where a group of individuals recites poetry, prose, or dramatic passages collaboratively. Unlike solo performances, Harmony Huddle emphasises unity, rhythm, and collective interpretation to convey the essence and beauty of the spoken word. Participants work together to create a harmonious blend of voices, often using varying tones, rhythms, and inflections to captivate audiences and convey the emotional depth of the text.

How to Participate 1. Choose ONE of the following themes:
i) "Celebrating Diversity: Our Unique Identities" - Reflecting on the diverse identities and backgrounds within a multicultural community.
ii) "Cultural Connections: Our Shared History" - Exploring historical events and connections between different cultures
2. Choose team members of 10 to 15 students, with one student appointed as the conductor. Each university can have unlimited participation.
3. The selection of texts may be in the form of poetry or short prose. Texts should preferably be original and authentic.
4. Participants are not allowed to refer to any notes or printed materials during the performance.
5. Participants should be in appropriate and decent attire.
6. The content must not touch on sensitive issues such as race, religion, royalty, politics, etc.
7. Both members and the conductor must be visible in the video.
8. The audio and video should be of good quality.
9. The video link must be submitted through the submission link together with the final script used for the video before Sunday, 18 August 2024. 11.59 p.m.
10. We encourage all trainers and participants to record and upload their practice sessions for promotional purposes. You may upload your practice video(s) on YouTube or TikTok followed by this hashtag #CountDownHEELCa24 . Your practice video(s) may be featured in our HE ELCa 2024 website and other social media platforms.
Duration of the video 5 to 7 minutes per video
How to Submit 1. Record the video and upload it on YouTube. The YouTube video has to be set to public and must include these hashtags #HarmonyHuddleELCa24 #HEELCa2024
2. Submit the YouTube link through the submission link.
