The Ministry of Higher Education, and the Centre for Modern Languages (CML) of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) are pleased to present the Higher Education English Language Carnival 2024 (HE ELCa 2024).
HE ELCa 2024 is an effort that aims to improve English language skills while also offering a vibrant forum for student engagement among participants from various Malaysian universities. This carnival provides various advantages, including enhanced language abilities, increased confidence in communication, and exposure to real-world language circumstances.
OBJECTIVES
Enhancing Language Skills
HE ELCa 2024 allows participants to practise and improve their English language abilities creatively and critically in real-world circumstances.
Boosting Communication Confidence
HE ELCa 2024 enables participants, particularly those who scored MUET Band 3.5 or lower as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), to speak more fluently in English.
Integrating Technology in Language Learning
HE ELCa 2024 promotes more accurate English language usage under present-day
circumstances by bridging the gap between technology and language learning
through engaging activities.
